Purchase Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: September 2026

1. Purchase Price

The purchase price for the Own or Be Owned System is $5,997, unless another price is expressly displayed and agreed to at checkout. Company offers a full payment, or a twenty-four (24) month installment agreement. Individuals who pay in full obtain a discount and only pay $5,997. Those who select the twenty-four (24) month installment arrangement will pay $260.00 per month for the installment period. Failure to pay any installment payment will result in the suspension of your account.

The stated or advertised value of individual components of the System is provided for illustrative and marketing purposes only and does not represent a cash value, resale value, guaranteed market value, or amount available for refund or credit.

2. What Is Included

The Own or Be Owned System currently includes access to the following:

• 127 copies of Own or Be Owned, which may be fulfilled through book redemption codes or another fulfillment method designated by Contrarian Thinking;
• Owner Score Diagnostic;
• 12 Profit Levers Dashboard;
• 12 Profit Lever Playbooks;
• Custom Tools and Templates;
• Contrarian Thinking Capital Concierge access;
• Two (2) live implementation calls; and
• Two (2)-Day Virtual Activation Workshop.

3. Anticipated Fulfillment Schedule

The System is delivered in stages. The current anticipated fulfillment schedule is:

• September 18-20, 2026: Purchase confirmation; access to purchaser dashboard; welcome materials; access to the Owner Score section; workshop schedule and calendar information; and customer support access.
• September 21, 2026: Book redemption information and/or codes; Owner Score Diagnostic access or instructions; and related onboarding materials.
• September 21-23, 2026: Additional onboarding and educational communications.
• September 25, 2026 at approximately 10:00 a.m. Central Time: First live implementation call, currently anticipated to focus on orientation and onboarding to the Own or Be Owned System. Additional System materials are currently expected to become available following this implementation session.
• October 9, 2026 at approximately 10:00 a.m. Central Time: Second live implementation call.
• October 16-17, 2026, currently anticipated from approximately 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Central Time: Two-Day Virtual Activation Workshop.

4. Program Changes and Scheduling

We may make reasonable changes to the System when necessary for operational, technical, educational, scheduling, fulfillment, or business reasons. This may include changes to session dates or times; speakers, instructors, advisors, or facilitators; workshop agenda or topics; individual tools, templates, playbooks, features, or dashboard functionality; technology platforms; method or sequence of fulfillment; or equivalent components of the System.

If a scheduled live session must be postponed or rescheduled, we may provide a replacement session, recording, substantially similar programming, or another reasonable alternative.

A reasonable modification to the delivery method, timing, personnel, curriculum, or features of the System does not by itself entitle the Purchaser to a refund, except where required by applicable law.

5. Book Fulfillment and Redemption

The book component of the System may be fulfilled using redemption codes, direct shipment, or another fulfillment process selected by Contrarian Thinking.

Purchasers are responsible for timely and accurately submitting required shipping, recipient, and redemption information.

Where book redemption codes are provided, codes may be subject to expiration dates or redemption instructions communicated to the Purchaser; may not be redeemable for cash; may not be resold unless expressly authorized; and may be subject to shipping availability, timing, and destination restrictions.

Contrarian Thinking is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect recipient information, carriers, customs, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

If books are designated for donation, Contrarian Thinking may establish reasonable procedures, deadlines, eligible recipients, or fulfillment partners for the donation process.

6. Digital Access

Certain elements of the System are delivered through an online account, dashboard, membership portal, or other digital platform.

Your access credentials are for your authorized use and may not be publicly distributed, resold, sublicensed, or shared outside the scope expressly permitted by us.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your login credentials.

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably determine that an account is being used fraudulently, unlawfully, in violation of these Terms, or in a manner that materially interferes with the System or other users.

7. Intellectual Property

All System content, including but not limited to playbooks, dashboards, videos, recordings, templates, assessments, tools, frameworks, worksheets, training materials, graphics, software, and written content, is owned by or licensed to Contrarian Thinking and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Purchase of the System grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the materials for your own internal business or personal educational purposes, subject to these Terms.

Unless expressly authorized in writing, you may not reproduce or distribute System materials; resell or sublicense the System; upload materials to shared databases, public websites, or file-sharing platforms; create or sell competing products substantially derived from the materials; record or redistribute live sessions; or provide unauthorized third parties access to restricted Program materials.

8. Live Calls and Workshop Participation

Live implementation calls and workshops are intended for educational purposes.

You are responsible for attending scheduled sessions if you wish to participate live. Failure to attend a live session does not create a right to a refund.

If recordings are provided, availability, duration of access, and distribution method may be determined by Contrarian Thinking.

Participation in interactive portions of the Program may be subject to reasonable participation rules, time limitations, eligibility requirements, and facilitator discretion.

9. Capital Concierge

The Contrarian Thinking Capital Concierge component may provide introductions, information, resources, or access to third-party financing professionals or service providers.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Contrarian Thinking is not itself acting as a lender; inclusion in the System does not guarantee financing, credit approval, loan terms, investment, or funding; any financing decision is made independently by the applicable third-party provider; purchasers remain responsible for reviewing and agreeing to any third-party financing terms; and Contrarian Thinking does not guarantee the performance, approval decisions, rates, fees, or services of independent third parties.

10. No Guaranteed Business or Financial Results

The System is designed to provide education, frameworks, tools, and resources intended to help business owners evaluate and improve aspects of their businesses. However, individual results vary.

We do not promise or guarantee increased revenue or profits; cost savings; business growth; funding or financing; customer acquisition; increased valuation; specific operational improvements; achievement of any particular Owner Score; implementation of any particular strategy; or any specific financial or business outcome.

Any examples, testimonials, case studies, projections, illustrations, or discussions of results are not guarantees that you will achieve the same or similar results. Your business decisions and implementation of Program materials remain your responsibility.

11. Educational Information Only

The System and its materials are provided for educational and informational purposes only. Nothing provided through the System constitutes legal, tax, accounting, securities, investment, lending, employment, or other regulated professional advice.

You should consult your own qualified professional advisors regarding decisions requiring specialized professional advice.

12. Payment Methods and Financing

Available payment methods may include payment in full and one or more installment, financing, or third-party payment options displayed at checkout.

Third-party payment or financing options may include providers such as Affirm, Splitit, or other providers made available at the time of purchase.

Any financing or installment arrangement offered through an independent third-party provider is also subject to that provider's separate eligibility requirements, disclosures, terms, interest rates, fees, and agreements.

Contrarian Thinking does not control approval decisions made by independent financing providers.

If a Purchaser elects an installment arrangement administered directly by Contrarian Thinking, the Purchaser remains responsible for all scheduled payments according to the payment agreement presented at checkout.

13. Failed or Missed Payments

If a payment is declined, reversed, overdue, disputed, or otherwise not successfully collected, we may, to the extent permitted by applicable law, retry the payment method; request an updated payment method; suspend access to some or all System materials; withhold future deliverables while the account remains past due; or exercise other rights available under the applicable payment agreement or law.

Suspension of access due to nonpayment does not eliminate amounts properly owed under an agreed payment plan, subject to applicable law and the specific financing agreement governing the transaction.

14. Refunds and Cancellations

You the Buyer, will have three (3) days after the date of this transaction to request a cancellation of services. All requests for cancellations must be in writing and sent to book@ownerbook.com. After this rescission period all sales of the Own or Be Owned System are final, except where a refund, cancellation right, or other remedy is required by applicable law.

Because the System includes physical goods, immediately or progressively delivered digital materials, diagnostics, live programming, intellectual property, and services reserved for the Purchaser, purchases are non-refundable and non-returnable once completed except as required by law.

Without limiting the foregoing, refunds will not ordinarily be provided because a Purchaser changes their mind; does not attend a scheduled call or workshop; does not use the System; does not complete the Owner Score Diagnostic; does not redeem some or all book codes; does not implement the materials; does not achieve an expected business or financial outcome; experiences a scheduling conflict; later discovers another product, promotion, or price; or decides the System is no longer relevant to their business.

Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable consumer right available under applicable law.

15. Damaged or Incorrect Physical Items

If physical goods supplied directly through the System arrive damaged or materially incorrect, the Purchaser must contact book@ownerbook.com or another support address communicated by us within seven calendar days after delivery.

We may request photographs, order information, packaging materials, or other reasonable documentation.

Following verification, we may provide a replacement or another appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable law.

16. Third-Party Products and Services

The System may rely on third-party software, payment processors, fulfillment providers, financing companies, calendar services, communication tools, lenders, advisors, or other independent service providers.

Those third parties may maintain their own terms, privacy policies, eligibility requirements, and service limitations.

We are not responsible for third-party services or events outside our reasonable control, except to the extent responsibility cannot legally be excluded.

17. Technical Requirements

Purchasers are responsible for maintaining the technology reasonably necessary to access digital components of the System, which may include a reliable internet connection; a current web browser; a functioning email address; a compatible computer or mobile device; and access to software or third-party platforms reasonably identified by us.

Temporary technical interruptions do not automatically entitle a Purchaser to a refund where the affected component is restored, rescheduled, or otherwise reasonably made available.

18. Communications

By purchasing the System, you agree that we may send transactional, fulfillment, onboarding, scheduling, account, customer-support, and other Program-related communications necessary to provide the System.

Marketing communications will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the preferences available to you.

19. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Purchasers should contact our customer support team before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute so that we have an opportunity to review and address the concern.

We reserve the right to contest improper chargebacks and provide relevant records to payment processors, financial institutions, financing providers, or other reviewing parties, including order records; checkout disclosures; acceptance of these Terms; login and access records; fulfillment records; book redemption records; communications; attendance information; and other documentation reasonably relevant to the dispute.

Nothing in this section prevents a Purchaser from exercising rights that cannot legally be waived.

20. Force Majeure

Contrarian Thinking will not be responsible for delay or failure caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, government actions, internet or technology outages, carrier disruptions, labor disruptions, illness or emergency affecting presenters, platform failures, or similar events.

If such an event materially affects a scheduled component of the System, we may reschedule the affected programming or provide a reasonably comparable alternative.

21. Relationship to Other Policies

These Terms supplement Contrarian Thinking's generally applicable Return & Refund Policy, Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and any terms presented at checkout.

If these Terms directly conflict with the general Return & Refund Policy regarding a purchase of the Own or Be Owned System, these System-specific Terms will control to the extent of the conflict, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

22. Rights Required by Law

Nothing in these Terms waives, excludes, or limits any consumer right, warranty, cancellation right, refund right, remedy, or other protection that cannot legally be waived or excluded.

Where applicable law requires a different remedy or treatment, Contrarian Thinking will comply with those legal requirements.

23. Law and Arbitration and Class Action Waiver

The parties waive trial by court or jury. By signing this Agreement, you agree all disputes which may arise between you and Company, arising out of the terms of this Agreement or the relationship between the parties shall be decided exclusively in binding arbitration conducted by the American Arbitration Association. Arbitration shall take place in dispute in State of Texas and governed by and construed under Texas law, except its conflict of laws rules. Client also waives his/her right to bring or participate in a class action against Company or its parent, affiliated companies, subsidiaries, agents, officers, and/or principals. Furthermore, you agree that by signing this Agreement you waive the ability to bring a class action suit.

24. Testimonial Release

From time-to-time Client may provide information about your experience with Contrarian Thinking, including but not limited to success stories, testimonials, or opinions about the service ("Testimonials"). You consent to allow Contrarian Thinking to use this Testimonial. You also confirm that the information provided to Contrarian Thinking will be truthful and complete in your statements and representations of your experiences. You also agree that Contrarian Thinking may use your stories or submissions for promotional purposes at our discretion, in whole or in part, across any medium worldwide, without notification, review, approval, or compensation to you. This authorization includes the right for Provider to use your name, voice, image, film, video, audio recordings or statements, or any derivative work, in all media.
